Almost Adults Model UN
On May, 5,2011 we went to Model UN. First we went to the auditorium there they give us a opening speech were they talked about what would we being doing. We went because Ms. Trenkle had us doing a protect about differnt subject such as refuges and immigrants and HIV & AIDS. So they put them to differnt subject in differnt rooms I was in refuges and Immigrants. What I learned from the experience is that a moderated cause is different from a un Moderated cause cause one you can walk around and one you cant. What I like about the trip is that you felt professional and older. One question did not get to ask is why you can not clap after someone talks. What I would like to change is to be able to clap after someone talks.

"America I Am"
We think the title "America I Am" means that we are americans. After viewing the "America I Am" exhibit we thought that black history is very important. We thought this because if the people back in the day did not fight then we would not have the equal rights that we have now. One object that affected us was the alpha kappa alpha jacket. This jacket represents one of the things black people couldn't do because of segregation. Also black people fought for rights on the train and equal rights. One case that gave black people some rights was Plessy v. Ferguson. A quote from the case was "Seperate But Equal".

Mockc hearing
Mock Hearing
Mock Hearing was an exciting event that was a real thrill experience. Mock hearing was an assignment in which in a group would come up with an paper about a certain topic in history. though its been a while i do not remember what me and my group members had did but i do remember all of the research and typing we had to do. It was like a competition we had to get the best paper to move on. Though my group did not win we had got an interesting experience in working together as a team to create a paper that could win. it was disappointing to not win or get a metal but we did get a memory. I remember having to go up and read my sentence then havin to answer questions that i did not know but using context clues to figure out the answer. Though it was an exciding experiance and knowing i might have to do it again in high school i hope im one of the lucky onces who does not have to do it. I say this becuase though our question person was cool and stuff i just felt bored doing it. But overall experience was O.K.

''Tuskegee Airman''
Who are they
The Tuskegee Airman are a very famous group of African Americana's, they are known almost all over the world. Well even if you do not know them the name tells you something. Tuskegee Airman... Hmmm. Well i know from the name Airman it has to do with the sky. well if you are thinking that then you are almost wright the name does give away what they are. The Tuskegee airman were piolits that flew for the air force and were good at it. Some was flight coontroll some were fighter piolits some were even secret servess. They all have different jobs and took each job siriusly. They were a group of courages men that flew for many of purposes some was to prove that the skin color does not effect the way that they perform some just did it for the contry but i belive they did it to prove that they were just like any body else tat has steped foot eaither on a plan or ground or house and many many more.
What did i learn
What i learned from the Tuskegee Airman was to ''belive'' in yourself and you will make it, ststed in the movie that Ms. Trenkle had nicly let us watch. But that is not it ststed in my paragrph obove that it dos not matter the color of the skin becouse it will not effect the way that you perform. I personally learned that if you have a goal taking small steps is the way to get to it as well as needing courage. I learned this from the movie how they arrived on the base and everybody would treat them like trash but they kept at it no madder what put them down. well pluse it was apart of the Aircore so i guess you have to be ready for that but they still kret there wa to their goal even if not all had survived.
!A Visit!
Well just a week ago i can remember two of the many Tuskegee Airman had took a visit to Stuart Hobson 8th grader's including myself. Though we as a class did not realy get to meat him he did stop by our class and tell us of a cool program including teenagers to learn to fly. It was some camp to were they teach you how to work a jet. I thought it was prety cool when i herd about it and i know i was not the only one who thought that was cool. come on think about it flying over the potomice river sitting down going faster that 102 MPH that hast to be an exelerating ride in fact im thinking about doing it. But in conclusion to end this up my overall experiance with everything that i have said had to be one of the coolist things weve done and i hope this isnt the last. I hope everybody should have this experianc all over the world.

A lesson we learned from the Tuskegee Airmen
A lesson that I learned from the Tuskegee Airmen is to keep moving forward. I say this because although many people doubted them they always kept moving forward. Many people thought that Negros couldn't fly but they did what no negro has done before. They also opened doors for future African-American pilots that wanted to fly in the war. Another lesson I learned was to never give people the satisfaction of putting you down. I say this because everybody critized them about flying in the war. But they didnt care about the comments and did what they believed in and achieved their goals.

Tuskegee Airmen can teach you alot of things
What the Tuskegee Airmen taught me in the movie is to never give up and don't give any body the satisfaction of u quiting because in the movie tren thought that they killed Walter peoples and he was ready to leave and Annabel lee told him to not give them the satisfaction of you leaving.
And another thing I learned was to not let peoples words get to you and just ignore dumb things like that because that happen throughout the movie they had to go threw ever because the white man didn't want them to be good a airman. The last thing is enjoy what you love even if other people don't like what you do because all of them wanted to be a Airman and the white man did not want them to succeed during the process of becoming an airmen.

Mock Hearings
In the Mock Hearings I learned about all the different units in our class. The Mock Hearings helped me by talking about the powers and how they are limited. The unit I did was unit 3 with James,Amaat,Hezekiah, and Kofi. The paragraph I had was "What powers do the congress have and how do the Constitution limit it?" The congress has the power to enforce laws, start a war, and many more........ So this helped me by showing me all the powers of the congress and the powers of the president and the powrs of the constitution.
